Why Starcraft 2 Secrets and not any other? Well, for starters, it caters to both beginners and experts. So even if you have just opened the box and is learning how to play the game or is already an expert on RTS (Real Time Simulation) Games, this guide explains to you step-by-step, with relevant screenshots and in a very simplified manner so you’ll be able to grasp and follow the instructions easily.
T Dub’s guide is full with illustrations and basically holds you by the hand while he “leads” and shows you how the pros get the business done. Also, he covers all the essential aspects of the game and breaks it down systematically so it’s not too much information all at once. This is an all-in-one guide, so expect to master the expert strategies in 1v1, 2v2, 3v3 and 4v4 for all races (Terran, Protoss and Zerg) as well as the perfected build orders and a complete counter guide.

The Shokz Starcraft 2 Guide has good content, it has detailed instructions and strategies to show players how to go about to dominate the game. However, one aspect lacking in this guide is that it’s catered mainly to beginners. Experts who are looking for that extra tip or secret to help them dominate the Diamond players will find this a little lacking.
However, Shokz guide also comes with some video instructions which makes it easier to understand. Unfortunately, these videos are not updated frequently and some of the techniques shown there are already outdated. But, this still is the only guide out there with videos, so if watching them is your thing, you may want to consider this.
Conclusion:
The Shokz Starcraft 2 guide one of the few guides around with video tutorials which makes it easy for beginners to grasp some of the techniques should they have difficulty understanding pictures. This guide also has pretty good content but it hasn’t been updated recently and many of the Diamond players have already wised up to a lot of the techniques listed here. However, it still presents good value for money based on having the videos and relatively good content. You should consider this guide if you’re a beginner in the game, no more.

Joana is a popular WoW gamer who has lately turned and started playing Starcraft 2. I expected a lot more from this guide but as I’m more of an advanced player now, I found this slightly disappointing. For beginners, Joana’s Starcraft 2 Guide is only a good step as an introduction to the game. How this Starcraft 2 guide works is that it discusses each unit in the game, what they’re used for, what they’re strong against and their weaknesses. Players in the mid or expert range would already know most of these information hence rendering this guide redundant.
However, there is also more in depth analysis where the guide teaches you how to make the most use of your units, depending on the race you’re using and are against which is quite helpful. Where it lacks is the more detailed build orders, micro and macro managing, all of which are essential in dominating players of higher levels.
Conclusion:
Joana’s Guide is a great starting point for players with good information with relatively often updates. However, due to the lack of high level gameplay, mid to expert players will find this guide a little lacking.

The least impressive of the lot and the least value for money. This Starcraft 2 guide is priced at $27 plus an additional $27 monthly which brings it to a total of $324 a year for a gaming guide!
Although it promises monthly updates, the guide still seems very far behind compared to others and seems to be updating itself from content from the other guides, hence this guide is always lagging behind the others. The content in it is actually notable but usually outdated. Another downside to this guide is that it has plenty of text… but no pictures which makes it very difficult to imagine the scenario and what is exactly going on.
Unless something drastic happens to this guide, my advice is to stay away.
Conclusion:
The Star2Pros Starcraft 2 Guide over promises and under delivers. Also, it costs a bomb and is impossible to justify such a high price for so little and outdated content.
